This role is based in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and ship secure, highly usable end-to-end payment and account experiences across all Uber apps (Rides, Eats, Freight, etc.).
  • Translate complex platform requirements and regulatory constraints into simple, elegant design solutions.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment as the design domain expert, negotiating trade-offs between speed, user value, and technical capacity.
  • Define a coherent design vision and strategy for new payment features.
  • Utilize user data and research insights to validate hypotheses and iterate on design improvements.
  • Elevate design quality across the Payments organization by implementing systematic reusable components.

Basic qualifications:

  • Minimum 4 years of professional product design experience in high-growth environments.
  • A portfolio showcasing high-quality visual and interaction design work for consumer-facing mobile applications.
  • Expert proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools, including Figma.
  • Experience applying a systematic approach to design.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience designing for financial products or highly regulated industries.
  • Ability to craft product strategy in ambiguous situations.
  • Track record of shipping measurable design improvements.
  • Experience collaborating with engineering and data science partners.
