This internship is based in Palo Alto, California and is expected to start around January 2026, continuing through the Winter/Spring term or into Summer 2026.

Compensation:

$20.00 - $50.00/hour + benefits

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, enhance, and debug software and firmware in Python, C, C++, and Rust.
  • Perform hardware and firmware integration of Tesla Energy products.
  • Lead firmware validation and releases related to manufacturing processes.
  • Design test procedures for high voltage power electronics and battery modules.
  • Collaborate with hardware and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless deployment.

Requirements:

  • Pursuing a degree in Computer Science or related engineering field.
  • Hands-on experience with electrical and software engineering components.
  • Comfortable with lab work and using tools like scopes and logic analyzers.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with JSON, Protobuf, REST, HTTP/S, Ethernet, and CAN.
