Internship, Mechanical Design, Robotaxi Service Tooling (Winter/Spring 2026)

This internship is expected to start around January 2026 and continue through the Winter/Spring term, with a minimum commitment of 12 weeks, full-time and on-site.

Compensation:

$27.86 - $39.00/hour + benefits

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the design and development of service equipment, tools, jigs, and testing fixtures.
  • Collaborating with senior engineers to understand tooling requirements.
  • Creating and maintaining design documentation, including 3D CAD models.
  • Participating in hands-on prototyping and testing of new tooling designs.
  • Supporting the development of tooling solutions for service centers globally.

Requirements:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Experience with 3D CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks, Fusion 360).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach.
  • Foundational understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Previous internship experience or involvement in engineering teams preferred.
