Internship, Embedded Software Engineer, Optimus (Winter/Spring 2026)

This internship is based in Palo Alto, California and is expected to start around January 2026, continuing through the Winter/Spring term or into Summer 2026.

Compensation:

$50.12 - $56.13/hour + benefits

Responsibilities:

• Develop scalable real-time embedded software for Optimus actuators.
• Bring up new sensors and communication networks.
• Develop automated tests for software quality.
• Participate in the full life cycle of firmware development.
• Collaborate with hardware and controls teams.

Requirements:

• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proficiency in C; familiarity with Python is a plus.
• Experience in real-time embedded software development.
• Understanding of microcontroller peripherals and circuit behavior.
