Internship, Actuator Mechanical Test Engineer, Optimus (Winter/Spring 2026)

This internship is based in Langley, British Columbia and is expected to start around January 2026, continuing through the Winter/Spring term.

Compensation:

$20.00 - $50.00/hour + benefits

Responsibilities:

• Work with Design Engineers to create validation and qualification test plans.
• Develop and execute test plans for electromechanical robotic actuators.
• Design and fabricate test fixtures and equipment.
• Analyze test data and write reports.
• Investigate root causes of failures and drive design improvements.

Requirements:

• Pursuing a degree in Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or related field.
• Strong engineering fundamentals and CAD skills (CATIA or Solidworks).
• Programming skills in Matlab/Simulink and/or Python preferred.
• Hands-on testing experience with actuators and components.
