Senior Staff Frontend Engineer, Merchant Experience

Compensation:

CA$261,000 - CA$391,400

What you'll do:

• Define technical strategy for merchant-facing experiences with a focus on quality and performance.
• Lead complex, cross-team projects to improve reliability and responsiveness of Stripe's merchant surfaces.
• Champion a quality-first engineering culture and establish standards for high-quality UI.
• Innovate on future merchant UX by exploring AI integration.
• Mentor and grow engineers across the organization.

Requirements:

• 10-15 years of industry experience.
• Experience with large-scale user-facing web applications.
• Deep expertise in frontend and full-stack development.
• Excellent communication skills.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with design systems and performance engineering.
• Interest in AI and UX.
• Comfort with full-stack development.
