Engineering Manager - Core Infrastructure

This role is based in Sydney.

Compensation:

A$214,400 - A$321,600 per year

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic initiatives.
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers.
• Drive technical decisions for distributed systems.
• Partner with teams to enhance infrastructure scalability and reliability.
• Cultivate a culture of engineering excellence.
• Support the engineering team in achieving high technical quality.
• Recruit engineers in collaboration with the recruiting team.

Requirements:

• 10+ years in software engineering, with 3-4 years in management.
• Expertise in large-scale distributed systems.
• Experience with cloud technologies, preferably AWS.
• Strong background in infrastructure areas like compute and networking.
• Proven track record of leading high-performing teams.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
