Staff Machine Learning Engineer, Policy & Safety

This role is based in New York, NY with flexibility to work from home.

Compensation:

$227,495–$324,993/year, plus equity.

Responsibilities:

• Build and scale machine learning systems for proactive content detection and safety scanning.
• Design policy evaluation frameworks and develop multimodal models.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure safe user experiences.
• Mentor and support other machine learning engineers.

Requirements:

• Experience building production-grade machine learning systems.
• Strong expertise in ML evaluation and multimodal systems.
• Ability to translate complex requirements into technical solutions.
