Staff Machine Learning Engineer

This role is based in New York.

Compensation:

$215,136- $307,337/year plus equity

What you'll do:

• Define and drive the ML technical strategy for Home, focusing on generative recommendation approaches
• Build models that improve user representations, personalization, and relevance across Spotify’s experiences
• Collaborate with a cross-functional agile team
• Prototype and productionize new modeling approaches at scale
• Lead high-impact projects from ideation through deployment

Who you are:

• Strong background in machine learning and recommender systems
• Experience with large-scale ML systems in Java, Scala, Python, or similar
• Hands-on experience with transformer models in production
