Senior Android Engineer, Data Platform

This role is based in London with flexibility for remote work.

What you'll do:

• Build and evolve Android SDKs that enable engineers and data scientists to analyze user behavior at scale.
• Contribute to a high-performing, autonomous team of engineers, designers, and product managers.
• Develop scalable, testable, and maintainable code used across multiple teams and projects.
• Help define and improve Android engineering practices across Spotify.
• Collaborate closely with platform and data teams to deliver impactful solutions.
• Drive innovation and continuously improve developer productivity and experience.
• Support the broader Android community at Spotify and influence technical direction.

Who you are:

• Experienced in building Android applications and SDKs at scale.
• Deep understanding of modern Android development and tooling.
• Proficient in Kotlin and familiar with C++.
• Comfortable working in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
• Curious, proactive, and eager to learn new technologies.
