Data Engineer, Financial Engineering

This role is based in Toronto, with flexibility for remote work.

Compensation:

94,821 - 135,458 CAD/year plus equity

Responsibilities:

• Build and operate reliable data pipelines and systems using modern data processing frameworks (Python, Scala, Java, etc. on GCP).
• Take ownership of financial datasets and evolve schemas to support new features.
• Collaborate with engineers and finance stakeholders to design solutions for forecasting and analysis.
• Improve automated financial controls for data quality and compliance.
• Work in agile teams with end-to-end responsibility for data products.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in production-quality data solutions.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Experience managing data pipelines with a focus on reliability and maintainability.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
• Experience in forecasting or finance is a plus.
