This role is based in Toronto, with flexibility to work from home.
What you'll do:
- Build large-scale batch and real-time data processing tools on Google Cloud Platform.
- Collaborate with product owners and engineers to improve the data processing ecosystem.
- Expand the data processing product and technology offering for Spotify.
- Support the data practitioner community with best practices and standards.
Who you are:
- 2+ years of professional data engineering experience.
- Strong coding skills in a modern programming language, preferably Python.
- Experience with distributed systems and high-volume data.
- Familiarity with JVM-based data processing frameworks like Spark or Flink.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related fields is a plus.
