Engineering Manager, Enterprise Platform

Foster City, CA

Replit is the agentic software creation platform that enables anyone to build applications using natural language. With millions of users worldwide, Replit is democratizing software development by removing traditional barriers to application creation.

About the Role

We're hiring an Engineering Manager to lead the team that builds the infrastructure foundations for Replit Enterprise, enabling the deployment flexibility, networking capabilities, and data controls that large organizations require. You'll own the roadmap for enterprise infrastructure features including single-tenant deployments, private networking, data residency, and customer-managed encryption, partnering closely with Platform & Infrastructure Engineering, Security and Sales to unlock adoption at the world's most demanding organizations.

What You'll Do

  • Own enterprise infrastructure foundations: Lead the roadmap for single-tenant and dedicated deployment options, VPC peering and private connectivity, static IP configurations, and regional data residency ensuring enterprises can run Replit within their security and compliance boundaries.
  • Build advanced data protection capabilities: Design and ship features like bring-your-own-key (BYOK) encryption, customer-managed keys, and enhanced data isolation controls that give enterprises ownership over their most sensitive data.
  • Partner with go-to-market: Work hand-in-hand with Sales and Customer Success to understand enterprise infrastructure requirements, unblock deployments, and translate field feedback into the roadmap.
  • Scale the team: Hire, coach, and retain exceptional infrastructure engineers; create a high-ownership culture with clear execution rituals, high code quality, and thoughtful on-call practices.
  • Drive technical strategy: Define SLAs/SLOs for enterprise infrastructure reliability; evaluate build-vs-buy decisions for complex infrastructure capabilities; ensure our platform meets evolving enterprise security and compliance needs.

What You'll Bring

  • 6–10+ years in engineering with 3+ years managing teams building cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, or enterprise SaaS at scale.
  • Depth in cloud infrastructure and networking: you've shipped production systems involving VPCs, private connectivity, multi-tenant isolation, or dedicated/single-tenant architectures.
  • Strong technical leadership across infrastructure technologies: Kubernetes, cloud platforms (GCP/AWS), networking, and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Experience with enterprise security and compliance requirements: encryption at rest/in transit, key management, data residency, or similar controls.
  • Cross-functional chops: you've partnered with Security, Sales, and Support to scope and deliver infrastructure capabilities that close enterprise deals.
  • Excellent hiring, coaching, and performance management skills; crisp written/async communication.

Nice to Have

  • Experience building enterprise deployment options (dedicated tenants, private cloud, on-prem) for a SaaS platform.
  • Familiarity with enterprise compliance frameworks (SOC 2, FedRAMP, HIPAA) and how they translate to infrastructure requirements.
  • Experience with developer platforms, cloud IDEs, or developer productivity products.

This is a full-time role that can be held from our Foster City, CA office. The hybrid role has an in-office requirement of Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Hey, I'm Stan

Software Developer & Creator of Top Jobs Today

I'm a software developer, and over time I realized I cared mostly about roles at big tech companies - not just whatever happened to show up on LinkedIn or generic job boards. But those sources weren't enough - some roles were delayed, or never posted at all.

So I built this website to solve that. It scrapes fresh job postings directly from official company sites, figures out what kind of roles they really are, and sends them as email alerts - simple, fast, and focused.

Hope it makes your search easier too. Wishing you the best of luck - and I'm really glad you're here!
