Staff Software Engineer, Catalog Foundation & Scale

This role is based in Palo Alto, San Francisco, or Seattle.

Compensation:

$200,436—$350,763/year

Responsibilities:

• Own the technical direction and roadmap for a major area in the Merchant team.
• Ensure high technical quality through design, implementation, documentation, and code reviews.
• Identify architecture bottlenecks and propose scalable solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build resilient technical solutions.
• Mentor and develop team members.

Requirements:

• BS or higher degree in Computer Science.
• 8+ years of experience in engineering teams building user-facing products.
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems and various database types.
• Strong architectural skills and ability to drive execution of complex projects.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
