Staff Machine Learning Engineer, Search

This role is based in San Francisco with remote options available.

Compensation:

$176,924—$364,254/year

Responsibilities:

• Build foundational models for semantic search relevance.
• Work with teams to improve search relevance.
• Develop relevance-focused signals for multiple models.
• Contribute to the strategic vision of initiatives.
• Mentor a team of 5 engineers.
• Collaborate cross-functionally for cohesive modeling.

Requirements:

• Languages: Python, Java.
• Machine Learning: PyTorch, TensorFlow.
• Big data processing: Spark, Hive, MapReduce.
• Experience with semantic relevance modeling preferred.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs and VLMs.
• Strong modeling skills for online/offline bias.
• Experience with large scale systems.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
