Engineering Manager II, Big Data Storage

This role is based in Palo Alto or can be performed remotely.

Compensation:

$170,371—$350,763 USD

Responsibilities:

• Own the technical vision and roadmap of Pinterest’s data lake storage.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to architect data lake storage and metadata management technologies.
• Engage with open source communities to address scaling challenges.
• Ensure high technical quality and reliability in delivered solutions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of management or 3+ years tech lead experience.
• 8+ years of experience in leading large scale distributed systems.
• Deep knowledge of building distributed systems.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• People development skills.
