This role is based in San Francisco or can be remote.

Compensation:

$177,185—$364,795 USD

Responsibilities:

  • Define the direction of Pinterest's agent platform and build critical components such as agent serving, evaluation, and monitoring.
  • Partner with internal product and engineering teams on agent tech stack needs.
  • Lead the team's technical direction and roadmap for key infrastructure investments.
  • Hire, mentor, and grow engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
  • Utilize AI to enhance team execution and system design.

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of experience leading engineering teams with a strong background in Python.
  • 7+ years of experience in designing and operating scalable backend systems.
  • Experience with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Strong technical leadership and people management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
