SMS Prototype Handling Specialist

This role is based in San Francisco, CA, using a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week.

Compensation:

$320K + Offers Equity

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accountability for OpenAI hardware prototypes.
  • Administer a secure prototype library and execute access control processes.
  • Coordinate secure logistics for prototypes, including shipment planning and customs coordination.
  • Support engineering teams through prototype build and testing cycles.
  • Perform routine inventory audits and maintain accurate records.

Requirements:

  • 5–8 years of experience in secure logistics or hardware operations.
  • Experience managing sensitive hardware across multiple teams.
  • Strong judgment and discretion when handling confidential materials.
  • Ability to work independently and travel internationally.
