Product Manager, Private Computing & Encryption

This role is based in San Francisco, CA with a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week.

Compensation:

$405K – $490K + Offers Equity

Responsibilities:

• Shape the company strategy and set the industry standard on AI privacy.
• Deliver novel encryption-based privacy features across ChatGPT, API, and future consumer devices.
• Collaborate with researchers, engineers, and security experts to build core privacy technologies.
• Work with safety, integrity, and legal teams to develop privacy-preserving safety features.
• Engage with industry partners including cloud providers and security researchers.
• Communicate OpenAI’s privacy values with customers and policymakers.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of product management or related industry experience.
• Experience in private computing, trusted execution environments, and end-to-end encryption.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
