This role is based in San Francisco, CA with a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week and offers relocation assistance.

Compensation:

$325K + Offers Equity

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the product vision and roadmap for OpenAI’s multimodal APIs.
  • Translate model research and technical advancements into developer-friendly products.
  • Define and measure model performance metrics for real-world business applications.
  • Partner with engineering to deliver reliable, high-performance APIs and SDKs.
  • Collaborate with go-to-market and customer success teams for seamless adoption across industries.
  • Drive prioritization and cross-functional alignment for multimodal capabilities.
  • Represent the customer and developer perspective within OpenAI.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience in product management for developer platforms, APIs, or applied AI products.
  • Deep technical understanding of multimodal or ML systems.
  • Skilled at turning abstract technical capabilities into user-centered products.
  • Effective communication across technical and business stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity and define product direction.
  • Commitment to delivering safe and transformative products.
