Platform Engineering Manager, Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE)

This role is based in San Francisco with a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week.

Compensation:

$302K – $335K/year + Offers Equity

Responsibilities:

  • Guide a focused portfolio of platform bets with clear hypotheses and measurable outcomes.
  • Build and validate software with design partners, iterating based on real-world feedback.
  • Co-develop with long-term owners to align on architecture and handoff criteria.
  • Maintain high engineering standards for design, code quality, and operational readiness.
  • Grow and develop the engineering team through coaching and feedback.
  • Operate with high judgment and influence across stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of engineering experience, including 2+ years managing high-performance teams.
  • Strong customer focus and ability to partner with senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent cross-functional execution skills.
  • Ability to build inclusive team dynamics.
