Engineering Manager, Youth Well-Being

This role is based in San Francisco, California.

Compensation:

$325K – $405K/year + Offers Equity

Responsibilities:

• Hire and manage a diverse, high-performing engineering team.
• Guide the team in implementing teen and guardian experiences across OpenAI products.
• Build global age assurance systems that are privacy-preserving and compliant.
• Design and evolve identity infrastructure for scalable user journeys.
• Define safety and well-being metrics to improve user trust.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience managing a team in a related domain.
• Experience in trust & safety, youth well-being, or anti-fraud spaces.
• Strong emotional intelligence and ability to connect with colleagues.
