Senior System Software Engineer - Data Platform Observability

This role is based in Santa Clara, CA, Austin, TX, or remote.
Compensation:
The base salary range is 184,000 USD - 287,500 USD.
Responsibilities:
- Architect high-performance ingestion systems for telemetry data.
- Build policy enforcement systems for data governance and access control.
- Develop a modern web interface and APIs for observability signals.
- Implement cost-effective storage architectures.
- Drive platform automation for maintenance and data lifecycle management.
Requirements:
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 8+ years of full-stack software development experience.
- Proficiency in backend systems programming and frontend frameworks (Python, JS, Java, Rust, Go, React).
- Experience with observability platforms like Apache Spark, Grafana, and ELK stack.
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform).
Ways to stand out:
- Experience writing custom Grafana plugins.
- Background in migrating legacy systems to microservices.
- Experience with OpenTelemetry and data governance frameworks.
