Senior Data Center Performance Engineer - Benchmarking and Optimization

This role is based in Santa Clara, CA or available for remote work.

Compensation:

$184,000 - $356,500/year based on level and experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute performance benchmarking strategies for data center platforms.
  • Characterize AI training, inference, and HPC workloads.
  • Define and report key performance indicators.
  • Build automation tools for performance monitoring.
  • Analyze performance bottlenecks across various subsystems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve performance issues.

Requirements:

  • M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in performance engineering or system architecture.
  • Strong proficiency in performance profiling tools and GPU computing.
  • Programming skills in Python, C++, and shell scripting.

Tech stack:

Linux, CUDA, InfiniBand, NVLink, Python, C++.
