Engineering Manager, Networking Software - Routing and Control Plane

Compensation:

$224,000 - $425,500/year

Responsibilities:

  • Guide the team to deliver new features, enhancements, and bug fixes.
  • Collaborate with product and architecture teams on roadmaps and technology selection.
  • Ensure software releases meet high standards through collaboration with Test and Support teams.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship, participating in design and reviews.
  • Implement continuous process improvements in an agile environment.
  • Assist in recruiting and onboarding new team members.
  • Engage with upstream communities and supervise technology trends.
  • Manage team performance and career planning.

Requirements:

  • BS or MS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in data networking, with 7+ years in software development.
  • 3+ years of team management or technical leadership experience.
  • Strong programming skills in C and Python.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Flexibility to work across time zones.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with routing protocols like BGP and EVPN.
  • Familiarity with data center environments and cloud-native concepts.
  • Participation in open-source projects.
