Applied Deep Learning Scientist Intern, Bio Foundation Model Research - Summer 2026

Compensation:

$20 - $71/hour

Responsibilities:

  • Prototype and build deep learning models for genomics and human genetics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in AI infrastructure and biological research.
  • Develop bio foundation models for drug discovery and personalized medicine.

Requirements:

  • Pursuing a MS or PhD in Computational Biology, Genomics, AI, Computer Science, Physics, or Mathematics.
  • Expertise in deep learning and bioinformatics tools.
  • Experience with Python and libraries like NumPy, Pandas, and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
  • Knowledge in genomics and human genetics.
  • Strong communication skills and self-motivated.

Preferred:

  • Experience in bio foundation models or open-source contributions in bioinformatics.
  • Familiarity with advanced AI algorithms.
  • Relevant publication history in bioinformatics or computational biology.
