Internationalization Engineer

This role is based in Los Gatos, California.

Compensation:

$388,000 - $558,000/year

Responsibilities:

• Serve as an internationalization evangelist across Netflix.
• Champion the adoption of ICU and CLDR standards.
• Define and drive the internationalization roadmap.
• Partner with Product Managers to align business decisions with internationalization best practices.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership to product and engineering teams.
• Build backend services, frontend applications, and automation tools for global scale.

Required Skills:

• Proven experience in internationalization engineering for web platforms.
• Strong foundation in software design and architecture.
• Expertise in JavaScript, Node.js, React, and Java.
• Experience with AWS, Spring Boot, and Gradle.
• Understanding of Unicode, ICU4J, CLDR, and related standards.
