Engineering Manager, JVM Ecosystem

This role is remote based in the USA.

Compensation:

$348,800 - $710,000 per year

Responsibilities:

• Manage application build process (Gradle & Nebula)
• Optimize JVM performance and configuration
• Oversee build artifact management and Library SDLC
• Handle JDK ownership and vendor relationships
• Make decisions on default JVM settings
• Provide insights and tooling for JVM applications
• Coordinate with the OpenJDK community

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in managing technical teams
• Ability to navigate diverse customer and partner needs
• Experience in coaching and developing senior engineers
• Willingness to take on various roles as needed

Preferred Skills:

• Deep knowledge of JVM
• Experience with Gradle/Nebula or similar tools
• Performance engineering experience
• Participation in the Java Community Process (JCP)
