Software Engineer II - Excel Chat & Office Extensibility

This role is based in Redmond, Washington.

Compensation:

USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain core components of the SDX infrastructure and Office.js API surface.
• Improve performance, reliability, and scalability of the Office extensibility platform.
• Collaborate with partner teams across Office and Microsoft 365.
• Engage with the developer community for feedback and platform improvements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and 2+ years of experience in coding with languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• 2+ years of experience with TypeScript/JavaScript and web platform APIs.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field and 3+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Office.js and developer tooling.
