Principal Software Engineering Manager

This role is based in Redmond, Washington, with a requirement of 3 days per week in-office.

Compensation:

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $139,900 - $274,800 per year.

Responsibilities:

• Lead an engineering team that builds and operates hardware-backed key management services, ensuring service reliability and operational readiness.
• Own production outcomes end-to-end, including service health and incident response.
• Drive a roadmap that advances security, compliance, and engineering fundamentals.
• Partner across teams to deliver secure key protection outcomes.
• Hire, coach, and develop senior engineers, fostering an inclusive team culture.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and 6+ years of technical engineering experience.
• Experience with languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• 4+ years of people management experience.
• Experience with security engineering and/or cryptographic systems.
