Principal Software Engineer (Frontend/Full Stack)

This role is based in Vancouver, British Columbia, with a requirement to work in-office 4 days a week.

Compensation:

CAD $142,400 - CAD $257,500 per year

Responsibilities:

  • Set technical direction and drive execution for Copilot Shopping experiences.
  • Lead architecture across the stack: client, services/APIs, and operational tooling.
  • Partner with Product, Design, and Data Science to define success metrics and iterate based on outcomes.
  • Drive engineering excellence through design reviews, code reviews, and performance standards.
  • Own live-site health and improve observability and incident response.
  • Mentor senior engineers and document best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field AND 6+ years of technical engineering experience.
  • 6+ years of experience building customer-facing applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Strong experience with modern client experiences and service integrations.
  • Experience with telemetry design and data-driven iteration.
