Principal Software Engineer (Frontend/Full Stack)

This role is based in Vancouver, British Columbia, with a requirement to work in-office 4 days a week.
Compensation:
CAD $142,400 - CAD $257,500 per year
Responsibilities:
- Set technical direction and drive execution for Copilot Shopping experiences.
- Lead architecture across the stack: client, services/APIs, and operational tooling.
- Partner with Product, Design, and Data Science to define success metrics and iterate based on outcomes.
- Drive engineering excellence through design reviews, code reviews, and performance standards.
- Own live-site health and improve observability and incident response.
- Mentor senior engineers and document best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field AND 6+ years of technical engineering experience.
- 6+ years of experience building customer-facing applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong experience with modern client experiences and service integrations.
- Experience with telemetry design and data-driven iteration.
