Software Engineer Intern, Systems and Infrastructure (PhD)

This internship is based in London, UK and has a minimum duration of twelve weeks with start dates in 2025.
Responsibilities:
- Build highly-scalable software systems using languages such as C++, Java, JavaScript, PHP, SQL, OCAML, and Python.
- Design flexible APIs for Meta product teams.
- Proactively identify and drive changes for assigned codebase and systems.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field.
- Research or work experience in relevant areas such as Algorithms, Distributed Systems, or Security.
- Experience coding in C++, Java, PHP, or Python.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Intent to return to degree program after the internship.
- Demonstrated software engineering experience through internships or projects.
