Software Engineer Intern, Machine Learning (PhD)

This role is based in Bellevue, WA, with additional locations in Menlo Park, CA and New York, NY.

Compensation:

$7,313/month to $12,134/month + benefits

Responsibilities:

• Develop highly scalable classifiers and tools leveraging machine learning.
• Suggest and synthesize requirements to create effective feature roadmaps.
• Code deliverables in collaboration with the engineering team.
• Adapt standard machine learning methods for modern parallel environments.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related field.
• Research or work experience in machine learning or related areas.
• Experience coding in Java, C/C++, Perl, PHP, or Python.
• Interpersonal experience in cross-group collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Intent to return to degree program after internship.
• Demonstrated software engineering experience through internships or research.
• Experience with Hadoop or similar technologies.
