This role is based in Menlo Park, CA with additional locations in Burlingame, CA and New York, NY.

Compensation:

$213,000/year to $293,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the team's goals and technical direction.
  • Effectively communicate complex features and systems.
  • Understand industry trends to develop new technologies.
  • Collaborate with leaders to improve team performance.
  • Identify new opportunities and influence staffing decisions.
  • Lead long-term technical vision and roadmap.
  • Resolve performance and scalability issues.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • 12+ years of programming experience or 8+ years with a PhD.
  • Proven track record of planning multi-year roadmaps.
  • Experience driving large cross-functional engineering efforts.
  • Experience utilizing data to explain technical problems.
  • Experience mentoring executive stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Shipped a large-scale product supporting millions of users.
  • 4+ years of experience building Android applications in Java.
  • Experience with maintainable code bases and API design.
  • Experience with multithreading programming and mobile memory management.
