Software Engineer, Android

Location: New York, NY

Compensation:

$230,506/year to $250,250/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Responsibilities:

• Research, design, develop, build, and test systems-level software for Android devices.
• Reimagine product experiences leveraging device capabilities for immersive Instagram functionality.
• Build core Instagram experiences from the ground up on new devices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative application experiences.
• Implement custom user interfaces using modern programming techniques.
• Analyze and optimize code for quality, efficiency, and performance.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 6 years of experience in software development.
• Proficiency in Kotlin or Java and Android application development using Android SDK.
• Experience with software development tools like Android Studio and version control systems (e.g., Git).
