Research Scientist Intern, Product Design Engineering (PhD)

This internship is based in Redmond, WA, and lasts between 12 to 24 weeks.

Compensation:

$7,313/month to $12,134/month + benefits

Responsibilities:

  • Research and explore skin contact comfort and establish foundational work.
  • Collaborate with user research, concept development, and simulation teams.
  • Develop characterization methods for fabric constructions.
  • Investigate skin contact discomfort thresholds.
  • Communicate research findings across disciplines.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Human Factors & Ergonomics, Textile Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience with 3D CAD software (e.g., NX, SolidWorks).
  • Knowledge of experimental setups and signal processing techniques.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with simulation analysis and measurement system analysis.
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis on human test data.
