Research Scientist Intern, Modern Recommendation Systems (PhD)

This internship is based in Bellevue, WA, with additional locations in Menlo Park, CA, and New York, NY.

Compensation:

$7,650/month to $12,134/month + benefits

Responsibilities:

  • Lead research initiatives on recommendation systems and multi-modal content understanding.
  • Conduct original research applicable to Meta product development and engage with the research community.
  • Design and support video understanding libraries and models.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate research plans and results.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or obtaining a Ph.D. in Computer Science, AI, or related field.
  • Experience with Python and machine learning libraries like Pytorch.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML modeling techniques.
  • Experience building systems based on machine learning methods.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Intent to return to degree program after internship.
  • Track record of significant results in research or publications.
  • Experience working in a team environment.
  • Prior research experience in recommendation systems or user modeling.
