Research Scientist Intern, FAIR - Text Data Research (PhD)

This internship is based in Menlo Park, CA and offers a duration of 12 to 24 weeks.

Compensation:

$7,650/month to $12,134/month + benefits

Responsibilities:

  • Advance understanding of data research, including overcoming data walls and improving data compute efficiency.
  • Collaborate with research mentors and review literature on real-world research problems.
  • Develop solutions, implement prototypes, and conduct experiments to test proposed solutions.
  • Draft research reports and present outcomes to audiences.
  • Contribute research applicable to Meta product development.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a PhD in Large Language Models, Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, or related fields.
  • Experience in Python, C++, or related languages.
  • Proven track record of significant results demonstrated by publications in leading conferences.
  • Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience advancing AI techniques in NLP and contributions to open source libraries.
  • Experience manipulating and analyzing complex, large-scale data.
  • Experience with large-scale data processing using tools like PySpark and frameworks like PyTorch.
