Research Scientist Intern, FAIR - Language & Multimodal Foundations (PhD)

Compensation:

$7,650/month to $12,134/month + benefits

Responsibilities:

  • Perform research that enables learning the semantics of data (text, audio, images, video, etc.)
  • Brainstorm with research mentors and review literature on real-world research problems
  • Develop novel solutions, implement prototypes, and conduct experiments
  • Draft and polish research reports and publications
  • Present research outcomes to various audiences
  • Contribute research applicable to Meta product development

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or obtaining a PhD in relevant fields
  • Research experience in Natural Language Processing, Speech Processing, or related areas
  • Experience in Python, C++, or related programming languages
  • Must have work authorization in the country of employment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Track record of significant results in relevant research
  • Experience advancing AI techniques in NLP or Computer Vision
  • Ability to manipulate and analyze complex data
  • Experience working cross-functionally in a team environment
