Research Scientist Intern, Comms and Language (PhD) Computer Vision Research

This internship is based in Paris, France.

Responsibilities:

• Perform research that enables learning the semantics of data (text, audio, images, video, and other modalities).
• Brainstorm with research mentors and review literature on challenging real-world research problems.
• Develop novel solutions, implement prototypes, and conduct experiments to test proposed solutions.
• Present research outcomes to internal and external audiences.
• Contribute research applicable to Meta product development.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing or has obtained a PhD in Natural Language Processing, Speech Processing, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or equivalent.
• Research or work experience in relevant fields.
• Experience in Python, C++, or related languages.
• Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Track record of significant results in Speech & Language or Computer Vision.
• Experience advancing AI techniques in relevant domains.
• Ability to manipulate and analyze complex, large-scale data.
• Experience working cross-functionally in a team environment.
