Research Scientist Intern, AI Core Machine Learning (PhD)

This internship is based in New York, NY and lasts between twelve (12) to twenty-four (24) weeks.

Compensation:

$7,650/month to $12,134/month + benefits

Responsibilities:

• Develop novel state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms and corresponding systems using deep learning techniques.
• Analyze and improve efficiency, scalability, and stability of deployed algorithms.
• Conduct research to advance the science and technology of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence.
• Collaborate with researchers and cross-functional partners to communicate research plans, progress, and results.
• Contribute to research applicable to Meta product development.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing or obtaining a PhD in relevant fields such as Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or Computer Science.
• Experience with programming languages such as Python, C++, C, or Java.
• Familiarity with deep learning frameworks like Pytorch or Tensorflow.
• Research experience in algorithms for sequential decision-making.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Intent to return to degree program after the internship.
• Proven track record of significant results in research.
• Experience in ML/AI research related to information retrieval, generative approaches, or NLP.
