Compensation:

$219,000/year to $301,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of research engineers focused on evaluation infrastructure and benchmarking.
  • Define strategic vision for evaluation tools and ensure high-quality benchmarks.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide mentorship to team members.
  • Oversee the development of evaluation environments for AI models.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align evaluation priorities with organizational goals.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related technical field.
  • 4+ years of experience in machine learning engineering or research.
  • 3+ years of experience managing technical teams.
  • Proficiency in Python and experience with ML frameworks like PyTorch.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Publications in peer-reviewed venues related to AI evaluation or benchmarking.
  • Experience with language model evaluation and building reinforcement learning environments.
