QA Engineering Lead

This role is based in Menlo Park, CA.

Compensation:

$195,602 to $221,100/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Responsibilities:

• Become a technical expert in the WhatsApp mobile app and support the Customer Operations team.
• Drive QA testing and manage bug databases with internal and third-party teams.
• Advocate for product quality, assess risks, and formulate test strategies.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to create and execute test plans.
• Investigate and escalate issues from test runs during beta and alpha stages.
• Define quality metrics and implement measurements for testing effectiveness.
• Continuously improve QA testing processes and documentation.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and five years of relevant experience.
• Experience in testing and debugging web or mobile applications for iOS or Android.
• Proficient in black box and white box testing strategies.
• Testing experience on mobile platforms (iOS and Android) and desktop operating systems (Windows, macOS, Unix/Linux).
• Familiarity with web technologies: HTML, CSS, REST, JSON, and JavaScript.
• Knowledge of development methodologies: Scrum, Kanban, BDD, and continuous integration.
