Product Design Engineering Manager

This role is based in Sunnyvale, CA.

Compensation:

$170,000/year to $240,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of Product Design Engineers.
• Recruit top talent for Reality Labs.
• Provide guidance, feedback, and mentoring to team members.
• Create career development plans and manage performance.
• Collaborate with leadership and design partners to define products.
• Perform architecture and design reviews for hardware quality.
• Work across multiple engineering disciplines.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience managing design teams for high-volume consumer products.
• 3+ years managing engineering teams through product development cycles.
• 8+ years in mechanical product design.
• Experience in mass production with domestic and overseas manufacturing.
• BS in Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with handheld and wearable electronics.
• Experience with tooling processes using metal and composite materials.
