Network Production Engineer, Intern

This internship is based in Menlo Park, CA.

Compensation:

$7,313/month to $11,293/month + benefits

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain multi-vendor, multi-protocol datacenter and backbone networks.
  • Define and develop optimized network monitoring and automation systems.
  • Collaborate with experienced engineers on production systems supporting billions of users.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline.
  • Experience with computer networks and UNIX, TCP/IP fundamentals.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python and C++ preferred).
  • Ability to learn new concepts around network design and management.
  • Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of routing protocols such as BGP and ISIS.
  • Intent to return to full-time degree program after the internship.
  • Experience working cross-functionally.
