Embedded Software Engineer, Silicon Infrastructure

Location:

Sunnyvale, CA; Redmond, WA; Austin, TX

Compensation:

$117,000/year to $173,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement software components across all system layers.
• Develop drivers and services for efficient operation in constrained environments.
• Lead hardware bring-up and optimization efforts.
• Debug complex system-level issues.
• Profile performance problems and drive optimizations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including silicon architects and hardware designers.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2+ years of software development experience or PhD with 9 months of experience.
• Experience with large-scale C/C++ code bases.
• Embedded software engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Understanding of hardware and embedded systems.
• Knowledge of the silicon development cycle.
• Hands-on experience with peripherals like UART, SPI, and USB.
• Experience with FPGA and hardware evaluation boards.
