Embedded Software Engineer, Firmware - Reality Labs

This role is based in Sunnyvale, CA, with additional locations available including Remote, Redmond, Austin, Burlingame, and New York.

Compensation:

$147,000/year to $208,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement software components across all system layers.
• Develop efficient drivers and services for constrained environments.
• Lead hardware bring-up and optimization efforts.
• Debug complex system-level issues.
• Analyze and develop firmware for various devices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of software development experience or PhD with 2+ years.
• 3+ years of embedded software development experience.
• Experience with large-scale C/C++ code bases.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with embedded DSP, CPU, and GPU architectures.
• Hands-on coding experience with various peripherals.
• Familiarity with communication protocols and low-power SoCs.
