Detection & Response Security Engineer, Intern

This internship is based in Menlo Park, CA, with additional locations in New York, NY.

Compensation:

$7,313/month to $11,293/month + benefits

Responsibilities:

• Work on cross-functional projects to enhance detection and response capabilities.
• Review security architecture and propose logging and detection controls.
• Perform threat modeling and analyze logs to identify potential threats.
• Build response workflows and support incident resolution.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience analyzing network and host-based security events.
• Knowledge of networking technologies and operating systems.
• Coding/scripting experience in general-purpose languages.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in Detection & Response Engineering.
• Background in security-focused software engineering or offensive security.
• Experience with threat hunting and anomaly detection.
