About the job
A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in program management.
- Experience managing engineering-based risk operations.
- Experience managing cybersecurity programs as a technical program manager.
Preferred qualifications:
- 10 years of experience in cyber, risk management, or system implementation at a major technology/consulting company.
- 10 years of project management experience developing, managing and implementing cyber risk management strategies in a consulting or in-house setting
- 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
- Experience applying AI/ML tools and methodologies to enhance program management practices (e.g., automating reporting, risk analysis, process optimization).
- Ability to partner effectively with cross-functional teams and influence others without direct authority.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of Cyber Risk Assessment strategy for Global Affairs (GA).
- Design and own risk remediation programs.
- Influence and assist business owners to close gaps in their cyber risk assessments controls and drive process adoption for sustainable security posture.
- Collaborate with and influence central Google security, risk and audit teams to ensure GA’s operational and security requirements are met and Cyber Risk Management practices are up to company-wide standards.
- Pivot between setting program execution, technical control implementations and risk operations.
