Staff Software Engineering Manager, Emergent AI Infrastructure

This role is based in Reston, VA.

Compensation:

$207,000-$300,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Responsibilities:

  • Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices.
  • Manage a team of engineers supporting Top Secret cleared projects.
  • Work with security teams inside of Google and partner and customer teams.
  • Design security solutions within the scope of the broader area.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience programming in C++, Java, Python, Kotlin or Go.
  • 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
  • 5 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role.
  • Must possess an active Top Secret/SCI security clearance.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • 7 years of experience in managing teams.
  • 5 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization.
  • 5 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks.
